1. Introduction - general framework

The content published on Helicopassion — texts, photographs, illustrations and documents — is protected by copyright. Helicopassion is an independent platform that values the work of its contributors and respects everyone’s intellectual property.

Each image is published with the author’s agreement and credited visibly within the articles.

To ensure clear and lasting attribution, Helicopassion now centralises references to authors and contributors on a dedicated page entitled Credits & contributors. This approach avoids multiplying links under each image while respecting authors’ moral rights and ensuring traceability of credits.

Content from institutional sources is credited directly within the articles, in accordance with the distribution conditions associated with those sources.

When all or most of the images in an article are produced by the same author, a direct link to their website or publishing platform may be provided at the end of the article. Other references can be consulted on the Credits & contributors page.

2. Photographs and content published on the site

2.1 Contributors and authors

The photographs published on Helicopassion are either taken by André Bour, founder of the site, or published with the explicit authorisation of their authors. Each contributor retains full rights to their images and texts.

Photos captioned “HELICOPASSION” may come from authors who have chosen to remain anonymous. These contents remain fully protected by copyright and their reuse is subject to the same conditions as content whose author is identified.

2.2 Institutional sources

Some images may come from institutional sources such as press libraries, communication departments or official publications, and are used in accordance with the distribution conditions defined by the organisation concerned.

In such cases, the associated credits and mentions are indicated directly in the articles, with a link to the source when required or relevant.

3. Author identification and presentation of credits

On content pages, each photograph is accompanied by a credit mentioning its author. This identification is the first level of reference and clearly links each image to its creator.

When all or a significant part of the images in an article are produced by the same author, a direct link to their internal or external portfolio may be provided at the end of the article.

4. Authorisations and traceability of contributions

Any contribution published on Helicopassion is subject to the prior agreement of its author, whatever the form of that agreement may be: written exchange, email message or voluntary transmission of content.

To ensure transparency and editorial security, Helicopassion keeps a record of authorisations granted for contributions published on the site.

Where necessary, these elements may help establish the framework within which a publication was made, while respecting authors’ rights and Helicopassion’s editorial commitments.

5. Reuse of content

Any reproduction, distribution, modification, commercial exploitation or reuse, in whole or in part, of content published on Helicopassion is prohibited without prior written authorisation from the rights holder.

However, sharing on social media is tolerated for strictly non-commercial use, provided that the integrity of the content is respected, the author is clearly identified for both image and text, and Helicopassion is mentioned as the source, with a link to the article whenever possible.
