OFFSHORE HELICOPTERS IN ABERDEEN 2009
Aberdeen, Scotland's third largest city, located in the northeast of Great Britain, is the European capital of oil offshore. Since the discovery of oil in the North Sea during the 70s, it is sometimes called "the Oil Capital of Europe" or "the Energy Capital of Europe".
On May 8, 2009, Stéphane Gimard conducting a photo report on the Aberdeen airport. This is the highest helicopter passenger traffic in the world, toward the oil and gas platforms of the North Sea, very close. 3 companies are located there : Bristow, CHC and Bond. The helicopters are Superpuma, the EC225 and S92.
