AMERICAN HELICOPTERS IN IRAQ

Terry MOORE was during many years an underwater professional photograph. He currently works in Iraq, where he maintains his practice of photography with US military units. He presents here his helicopters photos, some of it in HDR (High Dynamic Range).

Terry MOORE is equipped with a professional photographic equipement Canon 1Ds Mark III with lenses of the series L (16-35 f2,8 L II, 70-200 f2,8 L IS and 14 f2,8 L) which enables him to take very original photographs in wide angle and night.

He also practices HDR photography (High Dynamic Range) which consits in taking the same photo under several different exposures, then to import these photos into a software to form a single HDR image where all areas, dark or light will be properly exposed. This technique allows to obtain very realistic photographs even in low light, it also makes possible the creation of special effects which give to the photographs the aspect of a painting or a synthesized image. It is with pleasure that we discover the technique that Terry MOORE controls perfectly and that it applies on our favorite subject : the helicopters.
